As "Lee" winds to a close (well, not yet, but the end is actually in sight now, believe it or not), I've been thinking about the future of Slave Breakers, and it occurred to me that I should really put together a list of all the prompts, requests, suggestions, and plot bunnies I've gotten that I haven't written yet.

The problem is how to gather them all together-- and it's going to be quite an endeavor. I obviously should have been pasting them to a .txt file all along, but I've got a good memory and I've been coasting on that. I'll be adding to this as I get time and opportunity to do a more thorough trawl of my comments, but I thought I'd put up what I've got so far, announce the existence of this post (I'll link to it from my index, too, eventually, when I get around to it) and offer the opportunity for people to suggest anything else they might like to be added to the list, remind me of a previous request, and/or express enthusiasm about any one of these that's already up.

I'd actually like to see Bran with his first owner; that may sound strange (I forgot the name of the owner of Bran and Lee), but he actually seems like a character that would be worth exploring one time around. Maybe its too sadistic of me to want to see that, but I've always wondered about him and Bran.

[livejournal.com profile] rose_in_texas:

I'd love to read something about Bran with women. You know, maybe his first time with a woman or his first time with Lisa Kareyeva or maybe his 15th time with her.

[livejournal.com profile] skylerbird:

Alix/Jer/Bran---Not sure Bran would survive that one!
Alix/Yves/Holden "and other combinations"---(Blinks). Um. Yeah. All of the above?
Alix/Holden/Bran--I love to see Alix and Holden interact, so I think watching them share Bran would be a huge kick. Besides, Holden is such a sub to Alix, and Bran is such a sub to Holden...the dynamics are irresistible. :>

I'm also curious about the very beginning when Andrei first met Mona when she was at Holden's and how in the world they got attached to each other.

[livejournal.com profile] pulsebeat:

Completely off topic, but I'd kind of like to see Sophie and Inga.

[livejournal.com profile] mareaclo:

Do you know what i'd like to see? Now I know that you maybe are saying "no, no, no", but i'm too curious to let this pass. I'd like to see how they became the Slave Breakers, who had the Idea and how their lives changed when it became their Business.

[livejournal.com profile] angiepen:

Do peole steal slaves? Is there a market for a "hot" (LOL!) slave? They'd pretty much have to be either silenced somehow (considering both speech and writing) or locked away somewhere with no access to communication or outsiders, or they could easily get the word out about their stolen status. Unlike a stolen TV, a stolen slave can actively rat out the thief. :)

Or smuggled to another country, maybe, where the social climate is such that no one would care that Joe Slave was stolen from Country Whatever?

Because if there is any kind of a market for stolen slaves, I'd think Bran -- young and cute and skilled -- would be a rather attractive target.

[livejournal.com profile] shadowsonthesun (elaborating on the above):

Wouldn't it make sense in such a society for people to kidnap the slaves (especially the favorite ones) of their enemies? Not for resale, but for blackmail. Going by the other masters you've described so far, quite a lot of them seem to really care for their slaves, so I expect them to be willing to pay money to get those slaves back. And even if they didn't care for their slaves, wouldn't it appear really weak for those of (political) influence not to act if someone took a slave of theirs and others found out about it?

Just trying to imagine what Holden would be willling to do if someone were to kidnap Bran. He's probably not important enough to warrant such an action just to influence him, and not rich enough for anyone who's after money, but I'm sure he aquired quite a few enemies during his time as a slave breaker & rescuer. For example, what if Val really were to go after Dunaev, that would be exactly what I'd expect that man to do to try and stop them.

[[livejournal.com profile] maculategiraffe, in reply to the above: I think typical nobles like Irina Galenova, affectionate as they might feel towards their slaves, would probably adopt a rather firm "we don't negotiate with terrorists" stance about any ransom demands. They'd act to get them back, all right, but I think it would be action less of the "money's under the flowerpot" type and more of the "you have twelve hours to return Sophie intact before I hire your own thugs to hunt you down and make you wish you'd never been spawned you filthy criminal peasant" type.

Now Holden with Bran, that would probably be a different story. I think he'd-- oh, SHOO! (swats at bunny climbing up pant leg)
]

And from my most fervent and indefatigable prompter, [livejournal.com profile] wickhouse2005:

How about the one where Yves publishes a theoretical math paper under an assumed name and now other mathematicians wants to meet him, not knowing that he is a slave.

I can see Jer being the caretaker for his younger siblings and knowing that when he is sold, no one will be looking after them.

I doubt that the parents of slaves receive the $25 000 to $40 000 that the nobility seems to sell their slaves for, is there like slave brokers beside the breakers that maybe get the parents into debt and then charge them such high interest that the sale of their children doesn't change their lives very much.

I would like to see one of the slaves running into a sibling (a younger Yves) and see how they would interact.

I would like to see a younger Yves not be in the mood for sex, maybe he is coming down with a cold, maybe Greta said something horrible to him, maybe a sibling called him a whore, when they met up in the market place (whisle), anyway what would Holden's reaction be? So far only Jer was told implicility (sp) that he doesn't have to have sex if he doesn't want to. Bran seems to think that he doesn't have a choice (during the first holiday he "hoped" no one would require his service.

Also, young Yves and Holden could have gone on a romantic trip maybe after Valour was born and have a chance to act as equals in public, I think both would have a wonderful time "fooling" others.

Question does Bran, Jer or Yves ever service Greta (Valor's mum)? I thought I might like to see Bran with Greta, but actually now I think about it Jer and Greta might really be an interesting combo.

I still would like to see Jer express the anger and betrayal that he feels towards his old master. A dinner party with both in attendance would be intersting, not so much the dinner party, but the aftermath. Maybe Jer would (not on purpose) hurt either Yves or Bran and how would Holden deal with that.?

I can picture Holden and Bran talking about [Bran's first sex with Alix] and Bran asking him about pleasing a woman. That would be an interesting conversation, Holden explaining to a slave how to please his wife.

I got to thinking that Greta isn't the only slave to get preg. chances are there's a few boy slaves out there able to make babies also. It would be interesting if Lisa gets a scare, maybe not actually pregnant but several weeks late and Bran is the only male she slept with.

Based on the one sex scene between Alix and Holden we might surmise that Alix is THE Dom in the household. But with Jer being the same age as Alix and without the years of relationship that she has with Holden, it might be that Jer could actually Dom Alix. Jer did indicate that he was better at pussy then Holden and so far Jer hasn't had any that we know about.

What would happen if one of the slaves fell in like (not love, doesn't even have to be sexual)with one of the deliquents and truly was depressed when they were sold.

Wondering is Argounov, on Holden's approved list of slave buyers?, if so have they ever sold a slave to him, if not wouldn't that affect Argounov socil standing since it's an in thing to be on Holden's list. [[livejournal.com profile] maculategiraffe: Oooh, good question. No, he's not. But I don't think it's ever occurred to any of the other nobles to ask, since he's in such cooperation with them on business matters.] Has he ever wanted / insisted on buying one of Holden's or more likely Alix's slaves, would like to hear that conversation.

[regarding Holden's will] ...this means that at sometime Holden must have discussed his death and will with BRAN, and we know how he will feel about the idea of Holden's death. Also how does Greta feel about belonging to Yves and will Jer be comfortable with that idea?

What about a drabble about each time that one of the slaves, Yves, Greta, Bran calls the master "Holden"
