Yeah, so, I've always been a huge fan of [personal profile] cleolinda's Movies in Fifteen Minutes parodies, and then last night, while hanging out with my mom and grandmother, I went to see Young Victoria, which I was actually quite looking forward to-- I love the story of Victoria and Albert very much, and I'm not completely opposed to costume dramas, and I even walked past a theater showing Sherlock Holmes to watch this movie, which I now bitterly regret.

But the entire time I was watching the movie, I was just about bursting with the desire to make snarky comments, and on the way home I was wondering if [personal profile] cleolinda would ever m15m this movie, and I decided probably not, and then when I got home I wrote this very very quickly. I'm not nearly as funny as [personal profile] cleolinda, but... it had to be done.

Young Victoria in... less than 15 minutes, probably )

Oh, also, here is another short story with Bran and Holden. Inspired by talk of consent on the last story. No, I still don't have an attention span. Sorry. Working on it, honest.

I very rarely go see movies in the theater, because theaters are overpriced plague pits and my husband is immunosuppressed, but he's still in the ICU* and I needed some escapism and the TV commercials for it looked pretty cool so I let myself be dragged to Iron Man.

I don't read much Marvelverse stuff, so I can't tell you how it stacks up with the comic book, but I can tell you it was SO FUCKING AWESOME OH MY GOD. Even sitting through the whole thing with my phone on vibrate in my hand in case of an emergency call from the hospital could not ruin it.

So many explosions! So many deadpanned one-liners! So much awesome! Go see it, and stay through the credits!**

He'll wrap you in his arms, tell you that you've been a good boy
He'll rekindle all the dreams it took you a lifetime to destroy
He'll reach deep into the hole, heal your shrinking soul
And there won't be a single thing that you can do

-Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, "Red Right Hand"

So, I'm actually gonna post something here.

You can probably tell from my userinfo why I created this journal. I'm a kinky bitch and have been from my cradle (I have distinct memories of getting excited by Lady Aberlin curtseying and murmuring with her eyes demurely downcast, "Correct as usual, King Friday" on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood). It wasn't until fairly recently (yes, I live under a rock) that I realized I wasn't the only one who found this sort of thing irresistible-- and always had, from before my sexuality had even really emerged-- and it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I found the [ profile] slavefics community on here. Then I saw [ profile] lapillus' fascinating post on what she likes about slave-oriented fiction. I'm not going to attempt a cool thorough analytical look at my preferences and the reasons behind them at this stage, but I did decide to write out a few of the things that distinctly Work or Do Not Work for me and maybe a poke at why, because this really is the kind of thing I find interesting, and for a lot of my life, as much as I tend to think and overthink, this is something I haven't thought about, because I thought I was just weird and messed up. Which, maybe I am, but hey, at least I'm not the only one. :)
